Welcome to my new blog! I have finally decided to try my hand at blogging. I'm honored that you are visiting, and hope you will come back often for updates.
My objective for the blog is to post (i.e., rant and rave) about my life, to share photos, and perhaps to share other interesting items with all of you.
I think in a previous life, or maybe in my next one, I was (or should be) a meteorologist. Weather always fascinated me, and although I'm not that into it, I have to admit that I get a bit excited when the world outside my window isn't calm and tranquil, although I do love that, too.Here in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S., we are on the eve of another major snow storm...the 2nd in about 5 days. We just had one Saturday that dumped (on average) about 25" of snow, and now tomorrow night (Tuesday) we are supposed to get another one that will go into Wednesday. Of course, things are buzzing around town as people are trying to dig out from under the Saturday snow in order to have (somewhat) clean start for this one.
I had off of work today...we were closed due to poor road conditions, I think, and am assuming we will probably get off Wednesday, too...and maybe Thursday for clean-up. Gotta love mid-week snow storms! I have been saying for the past few years how much I want a blizzard on Sunday night or Wednesday/Thursday night (so I can get a 3-day weekend), and the snow gods are looking down on me this week. After this week, though, I think I'm done and will be ready for spring.
I did some shoveling yesterday, and my muscles are feeling it today. I opted to stay home from deep water workout class (a water aerobics class held in six feet of water) so I can rest, but I may try some stretching or other low-key exercise instead. I just don't think my muscles could have handled an hour-long workout. tonight. I probably should have gone, since I won't be going Wednesday night due to the snow. Oh well...I'll make up for it next week, right?
